See last photo. Jena to the south towards river Saale, northwesterly to Rudolstadt, northeasterly to Freyburg (Unstrut) and back to Jena.

OTHER DETAILS

The "castles tour" around Jena was curated by the airport manager Wolfgang. Because we both wanted to go see things, I teamed up with Robert, a pilot from the Frisian islands. He flew and I took pictures. It was great fun and the small C150 was a good platform for lowlevel sightseeing. We were all smiling when back in Jena. And the sights were stunning, me thinks!
