The last view back on Hvitanes peninsula... the rainbow over this wartime site made it really a special moment to witness. After this picture I stopped taking further ones - our last evening on this trip and next day's very early departure homebound were to come and to enjoy.

Departing Akureyri, we move further west, along very remote fjords and capes, spotting wildlife and waterfalls and eventually stopping at the outermost point of Snæfellsnes peninsula. Amazing landscapes all over, one could not get enough of it!
